1. Where are my documents and are they secure?
Your documents are stored in DynaFile's data centers across the nation which all have SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 (formerly SAS-70 Type II) certifications. This means that it is certified to handle the Department of Defense's most secret documents. With biometrically controlled security, continuous data backup and replication, multiple redundant internet paths and power providers, you can be assured that you will have 24x7x365 access to your documents and that they will be completely safeguarded against any threat or disaster. If you would like to learn more about the Software as a Service (SaaS) model, please read our white paper.
2. How can I get my documents out of DynaFile?
While you are only "renting" the DynaFile application, the data (documents) stored in DynaFile are all yours. Should you want to keep a redundant backup copy of the documents in your facility, or wish to migrate off of DynaFile onto another application, we provide a simply archive utility (free of charge) that will allow you to copy both the documents and their associated index data (how they are classified) to your local computer. This utility can be run on-demand or even scheduled to run on a set time basis.
3. What type of hardware or scanners do I need to scan to DynaFile?
Other than a browser and an Internet connection, no additional hardware is needed to access DynaFile. If you want to scan directly to DynaFile, you are free to choose whatever scanners or multi-function copiers fit your needs best. Though any scanner will work with DynaFile, there are some features, such as direct Scan to FTP capabilities that can enhance your experience. Feel free to contact us and we can provide you a list of some scanners that may fit your needs and requirements.
4. Can DynaFile integrate with our existing software programs?
Yes, DynaFile was designed to operate either as a standalone virtual file cabinet or to be seamlessly integrated into other existing applications. These can be standard client-server applications like an accounting platform, or full intranet portal systems. DynaFile provides a robust API (application programming interface) accessible via standard web services that allows programmatic control over every aspect of the system.
